On the 15th October Lincoln had its first ever zine fair. It took place in the Central Library with about 15 tables of various zinesters and their zines – including Venusian Astro Dirt, the zine I make with my friend Lawn Flamingo. So to celebrate this exciting event, one that demonstrates Lincoln’s continuing creative rise, here are some vox pops from 3 people who were at the fest and are part of this county’s renaissance in doing cool stuff. Once again I asked them the simple question:
What do you dream of?
Peter K. Rollings: Experimental Sonic Machines
I dream of abstract things, things that are strange and impossible and I usually forget about them a few hours afterwards. I’m often puzzled in the morning how that plot came about in this dream. It’s such a strange thing – perhaps I ought to write them down in future so I remember them.

Lou Viner: Organiser of Lincoln Zine Fest
I dream of a world full of fluffy clouds and cats and people where everybody is happy and everybody is safe but we are ruled by cat overlords.
Dan Hickin: Live Looping music & beat box
I dream of houses with lots of weird rooms and the houses are all tumbledown and peculiar and strange places, like a seaside, that are suddenly in the village that weren’t there before. That’s probably one of the main things I dream about.
